Neneh The Farmer's Daughter.

How Love Came To Her Village One Day.

By Chris Liberty Published 9 months ago 1 min read

In the hush of dawn where millet grows,
lived neneh, where the baobab knows,
a farmer’s child with earthen grace,
sun-kissed skin and a gentle face.

She danced with rain, she spoke to trees,
her laughter carried on the breeze.
Then came a stranger, pale and kind,
a doctor with a healing mind.

He bore no spear, just heart and light,
a stethoscope and eyes so bright.
In dusty paths their fingers met,
beneath the moon, their fates were set.

He healed the sick, she healed his soul,
two distant worlds now made whole.
She taught him songs, he brought her books,
in whispered words and tender looks.

But when he left, the sky turned grey,
yet in her heart, he chose to stay.
Now neneh waits where sunsets glow,
love rooted deep, like crops she sows.
