Pinprick on my palm

My flinch flips the black spider

Hourglass tolls red.

I considered submitting this as my entry for the Haunted Echoes Challenge.

Here is the haiku I submitted for the Challenge:

Enjoyed writing these and would appreciate any feedback on both.

One dynamic line draws me in and hooks me line and sinker: "Hourglass tolls red". Awesome haiku.....just really hauntingly awesome.

This is excellent, starts with something that could be innocuous but the lines to follow prove the harm is already done and now time is limited. Great haiku :) Also, maybe this is worth mentioning, but I think we’re allowed to submit multiple entries to challenges. At least that’s how it was when I started and I haven’t reread the rules lately, but if your assuming you’re only allowed one entry you might want to take another look at challenge guidelines to confirm. You could potentially boost your chances if you submit multiple good ones.
