Necklace

A haiku

I don’t want a necklace

round my neck, content to see

lichens hang from trees.

Note: We were visiting the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest. I enjoyed the greenery. The lichen hanging from the big maple and beech trees enchanted me. This haiku is inspired by that experience.

Good work and it does look like a necklace of the rich.
