A fallen guava leaf,
but my gaze fell on it,
and I was mesmerized.
Glossy, oblong, and
a colorful pigment splash!
I kept on admiring it,
a simple, senescent leaf,
but so attractive.
A blue iris flower,
past its prime,
shriveled and dehydrated,
battered by heat and wind,
yet still pretty.

I made the artwork below
with an old leaf of
Lily of the Nile.
Some imaginations
gave it creative resurrection.

I am blessed with mindfulness,
and a proud philocalist,
where nothing is trivial,
or to be taken for granted,
but everything is extraordinary
to me, nature is a gallery.
