Nature is a Beast

A metaphor for life?

I'm a leaf floating in the wind

Aimlessly searching for a place to land

Lost in the breeze, cold and confused

What is my purpose? Where do I stand

Do I have a destination? Who am I

Nature is a beast. Life is a journey

I fell off the branch, lost my footing

Trying anything to feel worthy

I'm drowning in the river

Caught in the stream

The current is taking me

Hopefully, to a place to dream

Doubt is a curse that drains my soul

This dried-up leaf needs a mountain to climb

But what is my peak? Have I already reached it?

This can't be the height of my prime

Time to go through a metamorphosis

Shed my skin and my cocoon

Become a butterfly

And fly to the moon

This is beautifully expressed. You captured the struggle, the doubt, and the need for renewal so well.
