Nature Brings Endless Happiness

Make immersing in it, a habit

By Seema PatelPublished about a month ago 1 min read
@Seema

As if I have cracked the code

of endless happiness.

It is watching nature,

how flora and fauna interact.

So, I engage in it a lot,

every day.

A wild parrot feeding on ripe mangoes

on a hot summer day in India,

I was not the one savoring the fruit,

but the spectacle filled me with happiness.

That’s a killdeer bird,

foraging in hot, acidic terrain

of Yellowstone National Park,

showing adaptation and resilience.

@Seema

Sea gulls sharing space with sea lions

on the Pacific shore.

@Seema

Now tell me,

did it not delight you?

When we pay attention to other

beings, we banish our own stress.

Immerse in nature more

and reap rapture.

    There's so much truth in your words. I spend my days outdoors, I work outside to I get to witness them daily and I really feel the difference when I can't go out. No wonder back in the Victorian age, doctors used to prescribe nature as medicine. They should do it again.
