Naked

and vulnerable

Like standing completely naked in front of you.

Exposed and oh so vulnerable.

Honest, raw, completely visible.

Choosing to share every part, even those once so carefully hidden.

Layer after layer for protection.

Very risky being so exposed. Especially after being so used.

Telling you the deepest secrets, the truest feelings, showing my true self.

As if my skull was cracked open with such precision to show each and every thought in my brain.

Naked, lacking clothing, sharing your body is one level of vulnerability.

Sharing one’s true self, every emotion, belief, doubt, that is something else entirely.

Exposing one’s self, naked in honesty asks for the deepest of trust.

The reaction to such vulnerability is the true test of character.

Only those true of heart and intent can match the risk of being naked in truth.
