R.I.P. James Earl Jones who died September 9, 2024, at 93 years old. That voice was such an iconic part of my childhood, as it was for many others, as Darth Vader in the Star Wars films and universe, and then as Musafa in The Lion King.

Awww!! Wonderful tribute!! It's interesting what people think go first when they hear his name... I personally think of Mufasa from lion king, but Darth Vader is a close second!

What a great actor he was down here. I do believe he was also in ROOTS and I think he played a young Alex Haley.
I read last night that he left this earthly plane. 93, he had a good run. Yep, the force be with you JEJ.
This one hurts. I also feel bad that he's being remembered for Vader (iconic obvi) but seems to be forgotten about for voicing Mufasa. A true legend.
