My Universe Begins With You

Where love became my gravity

By Jawad AliPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

From the first breath of morning to the hush of dusk,

I feel your presence in everything that moves me.

Your touch gentle, glowing like sunlight spilled across my skin.

In your eyes, I lose all sense of place.

They pull me in, oceans deep,

Where I could drift forever,

Tasting the mystery in your silence.

A simple “hello” from you changed the rhythm of my heart.

And “goodbye” has never sounded so sharp,

Like a door closing on an entire galaxy.

There’s magic in the way you say my name Like I belong somewhere for the first time.

I’d give anything to wander the wilderness of your soul,

To gather the stars hidden in your love,

One heartbeat at a time.

When your lips meet mine,

The world hushes.

Even the butterflies in my chest freeze in awe,

As if your kiss is a language they’ve waited a lifetime to learn.

You are the map I follow, the compass in my dark.

The reason my sun rises,

And why the night no longer feels cold.

Since you, I’ve never felt alone.

Since you, I’ve known where home is.

My universe begins with you.

And in every lifetime after this

It always will.

Thank you for stepping into my world of words.

I write between silence and scream where truth cuts and beauty bleeds. My stories don’t soothe; they scorch, then heal.
