My Submission
By Bri Mae Sunshine (A.K.A. Bri Horn)

The ego. My greatest challenge, my greatest defeat. So sweet it feels dancing at the tip of my tongue. Let it all go, I am straight up done. All I need is the sun to lead the way, caught in a haze, inside my brain. Don't tell me I haven't changed.
I feel it deep inside my soul, as if I am almost not truly hole. This yearning is not for another, but yet my own soul whom had wandered. Lost and hurt, it grew hatred. The soil soaked my soul as if it were a wet cloak of moss. I needed to shake this feeling. I felt it ever so deeply in my being.
So this is the story of how moss turned to glory, how I removed the wool from my eyes. Threw away that filthy disguise. Out of the rain, I hear my name. It's the universe calling, I refuse to keep stalling. So I scream, 'Take me universe, have your way with me. For I am you and you are me. Show me all you have been dying for me to see. I swear I'm ready, just lead me free."
