My Soul is the Sky

Vastness

By Keith ParishPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Vastness is the measure I tend to encompass.

Embrace the turbulence of unsettled storms, the tornado that twists life violently, hurricane’s weathered wrath that tempts fate towards an unrewarding end.

I stand wide; provide space for nature’s anger.

Welcome the differences that are the world’s people. Blind to the colors, the chosen faiths, physical or social placement. Open-armed with oneness as the only considered outcome. I cover all people devoid of hate and full of love.

I am not small, as small could not hold the boundlessness of all things. The brightness of sunrise, the shades of the day’s color, the sunset’s beautiful hues, and the night’s clearness reflect the immensity of my spirit. My essence outwardly reflected, an artistic personality, shown on my human canvas. As the night passes to day, I spread my reach; all is within my domain.

Humbled by opportunity’s greatness, I stand, intoxicated by the possibility realized in stretching one’s soul to reflect the sky.
