There's a knock at my heart, I peek where it's broke
It's the Lord so I asked Him in
My guilt is laid bare by these words that He spoke
“I see you've been living in sin”
I said, "Satan's my roomie and things are a mess
His temptation’s were more than enough"
Jesus said, "I'll remodel if you will confess
Cos your roomie, he isn't that tough"
I wanted to change, I so hated this place
I've been hurting and Jesus could tell
My roomie’s a liar, a thief, a disgrace
And he's leading me straight into hell
Our motif was anger, the color was fear
The devil liked everything dark
The Lord opens the curtains and everything's clear
And a fire is beginning to spark
He painted the walls, every blemish and spot
Took the stains from my pillows of doubt
I said, “Thank you for that, I almost forgot
Those were tears and they wouldn’t come out
There’s a bookcase of lies, all varnished in shame
Where my sins have been sorted by shelf
It's old and it’s heavy and blasphemes Your Name
Satan loves it, he built it himself”
As we threw it outside I’m encouraged to fight
We continue in setting things straight
He put in new windows that magnify light
I see God in this future roommate
My heart’s now remodeled, a new lease is signed
The Lord repaired everything marred
When Satan came home he was furious to find
His possessions all over the yard
Jesus got in his face as He dangled my key
"You're homeless just like I predicted"
Satan stormed away cursing, mad as can be
Repentance just got him evicted
