My Rejection From Love
I opened my heart and it shattered,
every hope falling like shards of glass.
The words I whispered were not enough,
and I stand alone in cold aftermath.
I wonder what I lacked, what I gave too much,
why my love was not returned in kind.
The echoes of rejection ring in my chest,
a hollow reminder of what could not be.
Solace hides in memory and shadow,
a place where the hurt cannot reach.
The world continues to move around me,
while I bear the weight of love refused.
Even in brokenness, lessons remain,
showing that hearts survive their own ruin.
One day I may open it again,
perhaps then it will be received.

The imagery of shattered hope is heartbreaking yet beautifully expressed.
You might have been rejected then, but you have your Phil for he must be The One. Good job.
Why do we has women feels its always our fault if a relationship do not work out. I feel the right person will along and you will not have any doubt that you are love just by being you.❤️🩷🧡💛💚
I love how you end on a note of quiet resilience. Really touching poem.
