My person, our connection is pretty cool,
We fit, and we balance, push and pull.
Memories, bickering, and laughs that bring tears,
Hours of talking, dreams, and fears.
Inside jokes just for us,
An undefined friendship without lust.
Why do things have to change,
Why is our friendship, to others, so strange?
I love his smile and his tips of advice,
Complimenting his positive energy, I added the spice.
Brutally honest, protective as hell,
Caring and understanding, one stood when one fell.
Whispers and looks, rumors and judgment,
Insecurities redefined our forever to a moment.
Now on different paths, unaware of each other's joy,
Unintended consequences of my bestie being a boy.
