My Perception

Today’s thoughts tomorrow’s Poems

A clear world:by Eliza Lila

Please check my perception;

I seek a world full of love and peace

Where those we love stay

Where there is no division inside and outside of races.

Instead I am given a world dark as the night ...

Selfish as a predator

our intention to survive follows a path of evilness and unjust actions

Where the weak are prayed on

I seek a world full of love and peace

Instead I am given a world where young colored children exhibited self hate

Brought up in a system of oppressors and oppressed

Colored school girls learn that their heir will never be straight enough

That their skin will never be fair enough

That they must prove every part of their existence as if their lives depend on it

Such ugliness in a world taught to be so beautiful

Blink once and you might miss, blink twice and your perception might be checked.
