My past is blue

Still, not perfectly sad

My past is blue

All I remember was blue

The stories I've told

The happiness I went through

I ask myself to remember

Colors from celebrations past

But I can't seem to remember past blue

Forgetful

Forgotten

No this is something new

I've adorned a new color

And I'm ashamed of the blue

I must let go

Must take the blame to change

For what I wish I could do

Hope

Forgiveness

Now it's all coming through

I can see myself

Surrounded in blue

And yet I was pink

Filled with vibrant colors wanting to blend

Just doing what I was told to do.
