My Panama City Queen

Chasing sunsets

By Robin EdwardsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

She drove a red Volkswagen van

Her long blonde hair was flying in the wind

I was five miles from town

When she pulled up next to me

and yelled “climb on in”

“I’m heading to the beach

if you want to tag along”

she said as she smiled at me

“We’ll get some white sand between our toes

and party down in Panama City”

Oh my

Panama City beauty

sand and surf running thru her veins

Oh my

Panama City queen

lips as soft as velvet

and skin like honey cream

We spent the days drinking wine

and making love

on the dunes of Panama City

She looked like a golden goddess

as she held on tightly to me

She was gone like a dream

before I even woke

as the sun rose across the bay

She was off chasing sunsets again

And probably still is today

love poems
