Self Liability

If it’s a bad choice,

I’m gonna make it.

If it’s a questionable conversation,

then, I'm sure I’m gonna say it.

If it’s the wrong way,

I’m bound to take it.

I’m all about mistakes and testing sensibility.

*

I give out second chances,

like salesman gives out deals.

I make decisions on a whim,

like what to eat for my next meal.

I jump right in, then roll my eyes,

my life’s a gamble, roll the dice.

I forget myself completely,

slick, like Muhammad Ali on ice

*

I don’t float like a butterfly,

but they still flutter deep inside.

with each decision that I make,

its like they multiply.

I fight like a champ, determined,

Till you show me vulnerability.

Then I throw the match, defeated,

Again, I'm my own liability.

*

If there’s something that you want,

you don’t ask, you simply take it,

No worrying about my feels,

when questioned, you cover up and fake it.

Distract and grab is your M. O.

its always been our deal.

But, you know I thrive in chaos,

unstoppable when it gets real.

*

The scene is set, let’s do this,

get to getting on with things.

Cards are all out on the table.

let’s make some deals, without strings.

To be or not, withstanding,

lets be like Sherlock, solve this case.

life’s too short to wait another day,

they're far too valuable to waste.
