My missing friend, we had only just met;

Before you were stolen away in what I hope is regret.

Taken too young and before I was fertile,

I never knew you,

my gherkin girdle.

Dressed to the nines as a hood, always dapper,

I never knew you,

my mushroom wrapper.

Our friendship was cut and cast out too soon.

We weren’t given a choice, it wasn’t our boon.

I never played games with my joystick jacket.

I never partook of my baloney basket.

I never knew you,

my dear willie casket.
