My Mam liked you.

The first time my mam saw you,

I think she had a crush on you.

She warned me not to let you go.

She said we were the perfect match.

I knew I had had found the greatest catch.

I loved every inch of you,

and you knew I worshipped you.

I just wanted us two.

But life had other plans for you,

And before I knew it,

I had lost you.

You were the fire,

you kept me warm

The hands that held me,

A heart that kept me from harm.

You know fate is a cruel thief,

stealing what’s most true,

And now I sleep alone,

dreaming only of you.

Where did it all go wrong ?
