My little oil lamp 🪔
A poem reminding you to always remain optimistic

This morning
I woke up on the wrong side of my bed,
And I reached for the little roaster
that doodled and screamed me to wake.
***
As my sight became less blurry,
I realized my day
was clothed in abyssal darkness
***
So, I lit up my little oil lamp,
With hopes and prayers,
that all my scares, anger, and sadness
Will become nothing but faded darkness.
***
Yet, and quite oddly enough,
I find myself doing this every morning.
Darkness never goes away
It only becomes less visible
Because my little oil lamp shines

Poet's Comments: Never give up because your morning seems dark. Remember! Until you turn on a lamp, the darkness will never go away
