Colour is Pride: True Colours
My Life is a Canvas
Written by: Jessica Buchanan
My life is a canvas, a surface of white
Brand new beginning, a prism of light
Colours all mixed start dancing around
Deep breath I am ready both feet on the ground
Staring for hours with vision in mind
Feelings of fear that I’m falling behind
Expression of colours erase all that is black
I feel proud of my art I’m not turning back
Each canvas started as blank as before
The walls I call home collection of more
Each painting created so close to my heart
Hue of all colours an abstracted art
Enlightened as many a colour is splashed
Breakthrough my emotions by cracking the glass
Through strokes of each colour my painting appears
The details of each are a message quite clear
Nature sparks storm in which rainbow is cast
A promise of hope and deleting my past
I live in creation each colour explored
Collection surrounds me with wide open doors
Life without colour I wish to no soul
I feel in my life colour plays a great role
As seen in a painting true colours don’t lie
Passion for art feeling blessed which is why
I leave you one question answer quickly right now
Does your life attract colour and if it does how?
