You are the lantern of my love
Always burning bright.
You provide me with guidance
Every day and every night.
A love that comes in silence
It burns only with your love.

Always brighter than a star
All your feelings and emotion
Lighting up my life wherever you are.
I feel your love and devotion
Always burning brightly from afar.

You don’t seem to burn as bright.
I am confused and troubled by what I see
And now you are just a flicker in the night
Have you lost those special feelings for me?
Is this why your brightness is going out?

Lantern of my love
You once shone so bright
But now there is only a ghost of a flame
Alone and in darkness tonight.
In tears, I cry your name
My lantern of love has no flame.
