I watch you;

Too weak to yell

Too weak to fight

Too tired to raise my voice

You tear me down

A woman no more

As though I had a choice

I try to stay true

To who I once was

To fight to stay alive

But your grip on me

Proves relentless

To kill the fire that hides inside

You know you've won

Before I open my mouth

I'm barely on my feet

Every day I try to better myself

Though it's my heart I cheat

Too tired to leave

Too defeated to try

I cry myself to sleep

If I don't find

Some shelter soon

Then it's my soul you'll keep

heartbreak
