My Hidden Desire

A Poem about my Girl Crush

My Hidden Desire

She dances like wildfire.

A flame to each beat.

Her soul a lit with passion and fun.

The smallest of smiles pressed on her lips.

I am enchanted by how she moves.

She's like lights in the Northern sky.

Drifting and flashing to some hidden beat.

Like there is a hidden song I cannot hear.

I know I should not be fawning so.

But I have always been drawn to such grace.

My own solid limbs could never flow like rivers.

In strength and natural bliss.

I wish to sing and speak of such beauty.

But to tell a fire of its desire,

Has never been done justice.

And I fear snuffing the flames,

With this cursed leaden tonged!
