It always starts the same.
I wake up to the sound of fake birds
And a artificial sun lighting the room.
Even with it being far away.
I get up shut it off and snooze away
Till I have 45 minutes to get ready and go.
Brush teeth, comb hair.
Find a shirt and some slacks
Hit start on the coffee pot.
Feed the cat. Feed myself.
Get the coffee and off we go.
In the car, then the keys.
Back out of the drive way. And roll away
One right turn, one left and three traffic circles.
Park and up the steps to the door .
Unlock the office and flip the sign.
Shuffle to the desk and turn on the computer
Go count cash. Say good morning to the co-workers.
Back to the computer and the phone rings.
Answer call. Type away.
Answer call. Type away.
Answer call. Type away.
Time for lunch.
Find some food. And back to work.
Answer call. Type away.
Answer call. Type away.
Answer call… type away….
5pm. Turn off computer. Flip the sign.
Start the car and pull away. Three traffic circles. One turn right, one left.
Home.
Change out of work clothes and into sports clothes.
Feed the cat. Feed myself.
Stretch and it out and work out.
The hours are going by to fast.
Shit! It’s midnight.
Shower now.
Off to bed.
Can’t sleep.
It’s all in my head.
Fade away.
And the next day.
Repeat.
Day by day
Again and again.

That was exceptionally well written. I was thoroughly impressed and enjoyed it immensely
Sadly, that's how routine life goes on. You captured it perfectly!
Great work!
