I got out. I set myself free
My Heart Fell into a big dark hole
My heart fell into a big dark hole,
A place that swallowed me up whole.
The walls were steep, the air was thin,
A silent echo from deep within.
No light to guide, no hand to hold,
A chill that swept through my soul.
The ground beneath felt rough and bare,
A heavy weight of my despair hung there.
The faintly I heard a muffled sound,
A whisper soft from deep in the ground.
It spoke of roots that cling and climb,
Of steps to take, one breath at a time.
My heart fell into a big dark hole,
I knew I had to take control.
I made a choice to mystically rise up,
I went up in the sky, I raised above.
I floated, then I fell down to the ground.
In the hole dark and deep, I was lost.
Now on level ground. I am refound.
Choices made saved my life that day.
I raised myself up—now I am okay.
My head now clear, my heart at rest
I now see a future, so I can be my best
