My Guardian Angel

Anita Aldapa Rigdon, this is for you. I love you mom

By Heather HeckermanPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

This is a poem I wrote for my guardian angel, my ma anita rigdon...

An angel came to visit me,

such a beautiful sight I ever did see.

My angel came to me last night,

told me what I needed to make my life right.

She sat next to me and whispered in my ear,

she told me exactly what I needed to hear.

She said go back to school and get a degree,

for only then will you feel like you're free.

She said don't let your life waste away,

doing the same things everyday.

Rise up and take this test,

failing doesn't matter if you do your very best.

Don't let yourself get discouraged or give up just the same,

because if you do you'll only have yourself to blame.

Reach for the stars and all that you can be,

this advice my angel lovingly gave to me...
