Nine seven nine

eight eight nine eight

six five two

one one one

is the most beautiful number

I’ve ever seen, the lovely

nines and eights, three

of each, the trill of ones

at the end, the elegant seven

saluting the first nine,

the sly six hiding behind

the last eight, and the graceful

swan’s neck of the two, peering

around the five because she

thinks that last nine

is winking at her

while the ones follow her

like a train of attendants

About the Creator

Harper Lewis

I'm a weirdo nerd who’s extremely subversive. I like rocks, incense, and all kinds of witchy stuff. Intrusive rhyme bothers me.

I’m known as Dena Brown to the revenuers and pollsters.
