You grab my face gently just to get a closer look into my eyes
You tell me how you always get lost in them
And I’m the prettiest girl you’ve ever seen
I wonder how many girls you’ve said that exact line to
I know I sound pessimistic
But I truly don’t believe what anyone says to me now
I guess that’s what happens when you’ve been let down too many times
