My Eyes Are No Longer Pure

Equality

By Kiera MPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

My eyes are no longer Pure

The eyes are given color at the time of birth; But the mind knows nothing of colors diverse.

They're pure and see only the smile of each face. No dark or light skinned man; no race.

Then we listen and our world begins to fade; the eyes that saw a smile now see colors of different shade.

Color separates us off; No longer hand in hand. We see blacks running away from hands of the white man.

What happened to my eyes?

What happened to my skin?

What happened to the beginning; Love for every man?
