My Dear Ones

A tribute to my friends

By Briana BookerPublished 8 years ago 3 min read

This is a dedication to really good friends that are so dear to me. These are their favorite quotes and I have constructed some of my friends their own fictional narrative wrapping around said quotes.

Being a little girl I always wanted to be a teacher. I love my teachers. I love my school. I love the way they cared about everyone. Secondary school starts and school is not fun anymore. The teachers are mean. The older kids bully the younger kids. I feel like an outcast. High school comes and the teacher are okay but I still do not want to be a teacher anymore. I graduate with good grades, my mother and father are proud. I get into NE and decide to be undecided until I figure out what I want to do. The professors at this college are all caring and involved with out lives. Second year comes and it’s time to choose a major. I like my professors. They encourage me to pursue a career in education since I like children. Third year and fourth year and I graduate. I get a job with my hometown school system and the kids are wonderful. Kindergarten to Third grade is what I teach.

“Everyone has their own destiny, not everyone makes a choice to follow it, I’m lucky I did.:

Forever and a day

Tomorrow will come

But who will know who I really am

I am the one who started it with my involvement with Harris

One you stick with him for a while,

You are known for a couple of actions that have been done

One fight, one argument

Fists, feet, knives, blood, Chinese and Mexican.

Two sides under the moonlight

Me standing back, listening to words being thrown.

Later I hear that I was involved, I wasn’t

But who can tell the difference

“I went right along with the story. I even told it myself. It gave me a special kindergarten identity […] I was living proof that you shouldn’t look at an eclipse or you’ll go blind.”

~ Tangerine

Regret, wishing, the past was the past

I’m older not and this identity still sticks with me

Elijah

“We are one in all and all in one.

There are no men but only the great WE,

One, indivisible and forever.”

~Anthem by Aryn Rand

Sarabi

Incessant screaming, CRASH! Water cascading down the living room wall. Dahlias strewn around the mirror. Hands flying, trying to explain themselves. Eyes leaking, not wanting to run out of the room and be finished. Standing their ground, to give up?…not yet. Heart drumming out their tune, she wants to come right out and grab him and make sure that he is hers. Heart to heart, beat with beat. But how can she when she knows the truth, mind knows it, even soul knows it. WAIT! Mind is singing a completely different tune now. “Heart listen.” Those eyes are calm and collected, serene and innocent. You just have one question….

“You’re mine or Mine

~ Mine

Sarah Lee

Erotic, u could say

Sensual, to those she chooses who are worthy

Innocent, only one way to find out

“I fuck hard.”

~ Fifty Shades of Grey

Sweat, glistening on his forhead

Slippery, when wet

Steamy, in the back of his Dodge Charger.

Hot, breath mingles in with mine.

Mouth, neck, breast, abdomen, lower…

Flashlight, shining through the window

BUSTED!!!!!

Natalia

“It showed that love was simply the tenacity to make sure that the other half of your heart knew he, or she, was adored in every way. In every minute of every day. That love was tenderness in its purest form.”

~ A Thousand Boy Kisses
