My darkness

Every night, you came alive.

there to ruin every moment of my lives

I create them to escape you.

to try and become anew.

My blood twists and curdles with every action I make

wondering if I've made the same mistakes you made as I ache

You hurt me constantly, but I surrender everytime

Waiting for that blow of emotion.

Your love waxes and wanes like the Moon itself, never knowing

if I'd get your approval or just a hard jolt of remembrance of when you left.

This is goodbye

for I can't keep making the same mistakes as you.

But as I let you go,

I realize no matter how hard I try, you'll always remain a part of me.

For where there is light, there is darkness.

Just let me go, I beg to the shadows of you.

As these horrid memories mock my pleas.
