My Colon Cancer Cells

An Acrostic Poem

By Petra Van GeenenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Midmorning last week I had an appointment

you know the type, I know the type

confronting, in my face, unpleasantly looking

of the number One Variety

lying low till it was too late

of the illness that kills

not that I know for sure yet

colon cancer has been diagnosed

and that's all I know

not much to go on for sure, but

caring for more information on

effectivity of treatment

radiation?operation?chemo?

colon cancer therapy

eh, I

love life, I

love people

so I hope I still have time!
