My Christmas Gift This Year
How I hate to commercialize the season
It is grey in grey
now every day
The night so bright
my moon to sight
December candles warm
Outside quiet and no storm

Most people talk ´bout gift to buy
With prices amazing and so high
What can I purchase
the shops like a parade or a circus
The air is hot and moist
Hard work when love is voiced.

Most precious dolls and electric toys
a mix today for girls and boys
my nephew defines I think a cat
should I take for him or it a hat?
I am confused and decide that love
Will be my only present from above
~*~~*~~*~~*~
The love from heaven sent by God
To share with others, is that too odd?
He taught the world to love and devote
Your soul to good, the stories wrote
To be for others and care for all
No matter young or old, small or tall.

My yuletide devotion is strong and clear
Living and loving, if you are ready to hear
It costs a fortune and yet it is free
My heart to share, I think you agree
My time is precious as on earth I walk
To sit with you, in silence talk.

The candles quietly burn their wick
The room so warm and air is thick
Here is no grey, the room is bright
A cup of tea and between us delight
An evening to remember for ever
Oh my dear, my choice was clever.
