My Captured Heart
50 words of you

When you speak,
I breathe the vapoured hearts
that sweeten bitter air.
When you smile,
despair evaporates;
my lips begin to curl.
When you cry,
I yearn to catch your tears
and taste the salted cure.
When you leave
my heart is ruptured,
'til I see your face once more.

Such rich, yearning work here, Simon! It evokes real feeling and beautiful, wispy imagery - congratulations on the well-deserved recognition! :)
Wooohooooo congratulations on your win! ππππππ
I really enjoyed this. My only suggestion is, for me, the word 'ruptured' isn't the right word here. I'm not sure what is, but it took me out of the poem when I read it. Congratulations!
Taste the salted cure. Love that. Congrats
