My Bench In Rhyl Centre
I love it because it my quiet spot. Away from everyone

My bench in Rhyl centre
There is a bench in Rhyl centre
I have grown to love,
It faces the sea,
the toilets at the side.
It’s a bench I do so really love.
It’s not on the footpath,
it’s in a quiet place,
I love to sit and hide there,
when I visit my lovely Wales.
The wind hums low,
the seagulls wail,
Waves kiss the shore.
The whispers frail.
Here I sit, unseen, unknown,
Its place that is mine alone.
Footsteps pass but few will see,
This hidden spot calls out to me.
Salt in the air, the scent of brine,
A moment stolen, purely mine.
The world still turns,
the tide still flows,
Yet in this space,
Everything’s in place.
A simple bench,
yet more than wood,
I write my poetry here
Life is quiet and all good.
people are in no rush,
let life move fast,
I’ll linger here,
let my stillness last.
A quiet bench,
the sea’s embrace,
My little piece of hidden grace.
As long as I have a pen and book
Poetry flows with ease to me
With my little writing book and pen.
It’s a day in Wales by the sea for me.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

The spot would be perfect for me too. I had a spot in the woods that was like a little island between two little streams that flowed to the creek. There was a log that fell that was a perfectly shaped chair that I would sit on to read and write of just sit and listen. Good job.
Fabulous again 👏
