My Beautiful

I was told to never...

By Luna PhoenixPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

I was told to never fall in love

Thinking it silly, I agreed.

Your voice was like chocolate silk,

Smooth and Comforting, it calmed me.

I found myself thinking of you more and more,

And I questioned why?

What is it about you,

That makes me want to never leave you?

What is it about you,

That makes me want to protect you?

I kept my feelings to myself,

Thinking you would never feel the same.

When you told me the reason why,

My heart leaped for joy.

Though you may never admit,

You were back and forth.

“Call me…”

Butterflies in my tummy,

Heart soaring

I dial your number

1 AM…then 2...3 AM approaches

“Are you there?”

I am always here.

I was told not to fall in love,

But I did anyway.
