My Anchoring Roots

Holds me firm

Though storms and winds may blow

I will be grounded in my family roots

surrounded by love and good advice

Learning life lessons throughout the years

Branches growing as I learn more about everything

From the hard love to even some success

Still my roots hold firm in the ground they were planted

Strength from focusing all that is good

Still my roots hold firm in the ground

Water from my God above

Gently guiding through the hardest times

Looking down at the scene below

Knowing my roots will always be there

Studying and understanding as time grows on

Still waiting but growth will always come

I never want to stop along the way

Helps from the tree of life continually growing

Without my roots I would be lost

And no anchor from life’s dark storms

Holding firm to what I believe

Comes from God and a strong family
