My Alien Visitor

A Poem

You came from the sky

Landing in my drive

Since you didn’t want to skin me alive

I gave you a slice of apple pie

Then I bought us a chicken to fry

For we shall feast once you arrive

Afterwards we’ll turn on the radio and jive

Then I will be your ally

I’ll take you for a ride in my car

Together we will take a trip

And we will travel far

You’ll take me aboard your ship

And we’ll travel to your star

To dock at your landing strip

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
