My 5 Senses

A poem I wrote that had no "end goal"

By Alex BarkerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Find the sense in you,

The sense you know which is right and wrong,

The sense of things you see,

The things you hear,

Taste,

And feel.

Listen,

As you hear my heart beat,

My breath shake.

My dear,

Entangle your fingers within mine,

In my hair.

Play with my fingers,

Because just the thought

Is such a beautiful and sensual experience.

Tell me,

Tell me your secrets,

Your deepest insecurities,

And let me see your truest colors,

Thought and ideas.

Let me know who I’m falling for.

Let me know who it is behind this mask,

Behind this idea,

Behind this.

For this,

This is not you.

It is not,

So who,

Who really are you?

An angel?

A God?

A spirit or a ghost?

Regardless of any,

I want to know.

I crave to know.

To know you,

To feel you,

To touch,

To love,

To be.
