The Sigh That Morning Cries

By Linda AubertPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The sound that silence beckons

The sigh that morning cries

The noise that children reckon

With wistful eyes

++++

The yearning of a broken heart

The tie that never comes apart

When all else fails to play the part

Of love

++++

Twilight of a perfect day

The sweetness of a grandmother

The one or two or three that say

There is no other

++++

The language of a whippoorwil

The swaying of a tree

The shining of a night that's still

The calm that lets it be

love poems
