I have a color.
It is something I see...
That is largely a part
of you and me.
It is poised in greens
and blacks
and whites.
And I see it
when I am with you.
But unlike us...
Though part of us...
It is beautiful
and full of light
with the sun
and the Holy.
I saw this color most recently
in a dream
of what seems like our lives together
to me.
Though it cannot really be described.
As in life...
Where differences we see
keep us together
looking like love...
colored in white
and pure to our being...
like Spring...
Close together...
With a point of view...
Exalting His presence...
Being real in disobedience
but sure of salvation...
Shining dark in discontent
and discord...
Grafted together
and torn apart by misunderstanding...
We are in awe
going blind...
and colored in black.
But to see the simplicity of perfection...
The beauty our eyes were made first to see...
In peaceful ties that bind us
to the virtue of our hearts
that is so precious
and to die for
is in the color green.
Yes, I have a color.
The color I see
loving you.
