Murderous Confession

A Poem

By D351Published 2 years ago 1 min read

Why can't we

Want what wants us?

Why does the light in your eyes

Bring me sorrow?

The light in her eyes

Bring me pain?

In my eyes

Regret?

I love you so much

Broken as you are

Broken but healing

But I can't make you what I need

And I can't make her need me

You don't deserve this

None of us does

I barely hope we can

I know these pieces don't fit

Yet we fall together anyway

My honesty is knives

And your blood is in my eyes

I can't make sense of anything

But I can't just walk away

I know that I deserve this

Because the knife is in my hand
