Multiple Sclerosis

Don't curse your body with this nerve disease

Multiple Sclerosis (MS),

a rising sickness

even among the young.

The medical terminology,

seems difficult

but it's quite simple:

it means, many scars—

on the sensitive nerves.

Let me explain. You see,

we have a network of nerves,

all over our body—

so the brain can communicate

receive and send messages,

we can sense, move, feel.

But society changed,

we fell for temptations,

and we used chemicals,

that tasted good, smelled sweet,

felt nice, gave pleasure,

made us look glamorous.

The body warned us,

they are irritants acidic,

for the nerves, they’re toxic.

The myelin sheath—

a fatty coat around—

gets bruised, here and there.

Now, information flow,

is inefficient, slow.

Imagine the horror!

Paralyzed, blindness,

and worse to suffer.

As I drive my child

to school, as an immigrant,

I thank my judgment.

If I falter in healthcare,

and get this MS scare,

I will intend to brake,

and nerves acting chaotic,

will not cooperate.

You can imagine,

the consequences!

So, I consciously shun

most chemical things

for my nerves wellbeing.

Remember, when nerves,

face random damages,

it's a hellish scourge,

no privileges matter.

Say no to Multiple Sclerosis,

Reduce body acidity.

Let the nerves do well,

maintaining their integrity.

I love how you've taken something as complex as MS and turned it into poetic, relatable language. A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with MS, and reading this gave me a deeper appreciation of the daily challenges they face. Thanks for sharing.
