Mugshots

His mugshot makes me cry and blush

By Abigail SulfridgePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The orange clothing shines in the photo

The messy hair looks flawless

Even in your mugshot

Your slight smile is flawless

Even though you committed a felony

Against me

The black eye still sore on my face

The PTSD raging in my mind

The child of yours flushing out of me

But yet

I can’t help but stare at your mugshot

Your mugshot being my favorite picture of you

At least recently

While I know you are dangerous

While I know you hurt me

While I know you put a life inside me

And the stress of you ended that life

I still can’t help but love you

And your mugshot

sad poetry
