Mr. Wiesman

Mr. Wiesman is a fictional character; an older gentleman from Louisiana. He prefers to listen much more than talk, but from our conversations comes this little piece here.

There was a man, Mr. Wiseman, and he told me

That time is money, and we don't have much, so there's none to waste

Like there's never enough, so we make haste

He was always runnin', like he was being chased

I tried to tell him, that he can wait till tomorrow

He said that's no guarantee

He said there's no time to borrow, so he's livin' like there's no tomorrow

He said God is watchin', and death is waitin' and that's a guarantee

Told me there's no dodgin' stress, and trouble is waitin', but God is my key

To guide me, a light from above I can trust

Told me to stay in the right, live in love, and not in lust

He said there'll be risks you take and results you hate

When it's too late, time won't erase the mistakes

But that's okay, because that's how we grow

Said I gotta know when I gotta let go, so I can grow

God knows all, I know that He knows,

So I sit in the back of the boat and let Him row

Thank you Mr. Wiseman, for tellin' me, a piece of your story, to help me grow

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
