Give & Take V: Everything or Nothing

What would I give?

to feel

absolutely nothing‐

everything

all of it...

every last bit of nothing I hold in my possession

all of the emptiness I hold in my hands...

emptiness‐

Like a vase, with nothing it

looking down from the shelf

thinking...

how long the fall would be-

hoping...

this time, to simply be left-

because

if left with the choice of feeling only the cracks in these walls

or just nothing at all...

I'd certainly jump‐

at the opportunity of the latter.

Such an extremity is the desire for numbness,

and certainly among my most dangerous wishes

but...

quite frankly,

I'm done with this‐

all of this...

in fact,

I've been done‐

for so long...

I myself don't even know what I'm doing here‐

such a hollow vessel has no song...

and no tears left to shed‐

What would it take?

to feel

absolutely nothing‐

just, nothing at all...
