A letter for just you
It isn’t right that every night
We expect all these things from you.

We expect your total dedication
that you will shine so bright
To show up with no hesitation
Every night for our delight.

More than that, your lonely light
It is a beacon for those out there
A reference point throughout the night
For sailors sailing there.
🌑🌓🌔🌗🌛
Inspiration for those lovers
Who pledge each other's hearts
As if you have magic powers
And could actually guide their hearts.
🌑🌓🌔🌗🌛
Even on the darkest night
When clouds are covering you
We expect you to still be bright
The things we ask of you.

So, as I look at you tonight
One thing I want to say
Thank you for your constant fight
To always be this way.
