Movements

A Short Poem

By Luke SegotaPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

We sway in the wind as a willow would by the pond

Water crawls over itself as a breeze pushes it along, lapping at it gently

Rowboats seem to glide over the abyss as algae is ushered out of the way

Oars slapping softly against the surface of the blue and green body of water

Turtles part ways as the fright from above floats overhead

Curious beavers investigate the area only to join the turtles down under

Loud passengers echo across a pond to one another

The wind moves waves, the breeze sways trees and we are to thank for the fright

As fright takes over these movements, disrupts the natural serenity

We take notice, take a second and appreciate our surrounding serenity
